According to the Times of India, here are the top-10 incidents of Bollywood brouhaha in 2012.

1. 10) When fantasy film Joker failed to attract audiences, director Shirish Kunder publicly pinned the failure on lead Akshay Kumar, citing the actors absence at key promotional events as having contributed to the flop.
2. 9) Critically acclaimed rom-com Barfi landed in hot water when critics noted key sequences borrowed heavily from Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton movies.
3. 8) Film actress Rani Mukerji was publicly embarrassed when her director/producer brother Raja was arrested for molesting TV actress Priya Mishra.
4. 7) After a public falling out, playback singers Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi, whose work is extensively lip-synced by actors in Indian films, refused to work together. In an interview, Mangeshkar claimed Rafi had apologized. Rafi’s son then lashed out at Mangeshkar, calling the story false.
5. 6) Aamir Khan’s TV series Satyamev Jayate (Truth Alone Prevails) was criticized by the Medical Association of India for defaming doctors in an episode highlighting rampant malpractice, corruption, and insensitivity in the field.
6. 5) Despite being out of the spotlight, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made big news with her post-pregnancy weight gain.
7. 4) Scandal followed Rajesh Khanna’s passing when a woman who claimed to be his common-law partner approached the courts, saying his family denied her a share of the estate.
8. 3) Saif Ali Khan allegedly got slap happy with a businessman at a restaurant after the patron complained the actor’s party was too noisy.
9. 2) Ajay Devgan sued Yash Raj Films, claiming his film, Son Of Sardar, wasn’t getting screen time because of the company’s dominant position with distributors.
10. 1) And finally, the No. 1 spot goes to Shahrukh Khan who slugged director Shirish Kunder at a party over his uncharitable remarks about the actor’s super-zero flick Ra.One.
