Another suspected gang shooting in Surrey left a man dead early Tuesday.
Four men have been shot and killed in two days in the south Fraser municipality. The latest shooting happened just before 2 a.m. in the Bridgeview neighbourhood.
Manjinder “Manny” Hairan, who was given a one-year conditional sentence for drug trafficking in 2006, has been identified as the victim.
“Upon attendance the Surrey RCMP located a male on the ground who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds,” police said in a statement.
“The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Homicide police also called Sunday night’s fatal shooting of Manjot Dhillon a gang-related killing.
Two men shot in Surrey on Sunday — hours after Dhillon’s shooting — have now been identified as John Edward McGiveron and Geordie Wesley Carlow, both 33.
Both have a history with police, homicide police say.
