B.C. received the third-worst job forecast in Canada for 2013, with growth dropping from 1.8% to 1.6% since 2012.

The forecast was released in a Royal Bank report released Wednesday.

Meanwhile, according to recent Statistics Canada numbers the province lost 1,611 more people than it gained for the first quarter of 2013, which is fewer than it did in the final quarter of 2012.

Figures show the province lost 8,500 more residents than it gained during all of 2012.

Those numbers were a sharp increase from 2011, a year in which the number of people leaving the province compared with those moving here did not break 1,000 for a single quarter.
