Police have a message for young men who have designs on forcing themselves on women without consent: “Don’t be that guy.”
In a new campaign launched Thursday, the Vancouver Police Department unveiled a series of posters that will line the walls of bathrooms at bars and clubs.
One poster features a woman passed out on couch with the caption, "Just because she isn't saying no ... doesn't mean she's saying yes."
Izabela Krekora, spokeswoman for the Vancouver-based Women Against Violence Against Women rape crisis centre, described the campaign as “blunt and straight to the point.”
“A lot of the things the campaign speaks to, we hear a lot in conversation.”
