Vancouver Park Board fights back 0
The Vancouver Park Board's proposed OneCard would give access to Vancouver community centres and fitness facilities. (SUBMITTED)
Vancouver Park Board will “vigorously” defend itself against litigation by six associations claiming the board is centralizing revenue by taking memberships away from community centres through the OneCard.
Board chairwoman Sarah Blyth said community centres will still receive their own revenues, though memberships will be offered free through the board, rather than individually by community centres. About 40,000 have signed up for OneCard.
