The BC NDP is accusing the government of slippery conduct when it comes to picking members for an advisory committee to improve the province’s oil-spill-recovery ability by stacking it with industry representatives.
The party said it has documents listing 80% of the committee members and nearly everyone on three working groups represent oil industry concerns.
MLA Spencer Chandra Herbert said the governing BC Liberals invited a range of groups to a symposium on the issue before the May election but has now turned its back on those commitments.
