A Sunshine Coast man has won this year’s Pacific National Exhibition prize home — a luxury residence at Sun Peaks Resort outside Kamloops — with an interior designed by Bachelorette celebrity Jillian Harris.
Gibsons resident Dean Cockerill’s name was drawn for the 3,000-square-foot residence Thursday, the 79th home the annual fair has given away over the years.
The home has plenty of outdoor areas, with an upstairs patio separating a recreation room from the rest of the home. Downstairs, the 49-year-old winner can enjoy a beverage from a glass-encased wine cellar.
The home also comes fully loaded with state-of-the-art fixtures and appliances, including two fireplaces.
Cockerill also receives $2,500 in groceries from MarketPlace IGA, a year’s worth of service from Mini Maid, and a newspaper subscription.
