One Pacific to add curves to skyline 0
Giant waves are set to hit the shores of False Creek – waves of the architectural variety.
One Pacific – slated to open in fall 2016 on Pacific at Nelson in Yaletown – has been designed to resemble waves rolling across its facade. Frankly, seeing a curvy figure on the skyline will be a welcome relief from some of the city’s older, more strait-laced towers. Downtown needs a little more va-va-voom.
This Concord Pacific project manages to have eye-popping design touches that are still practical. When it came to designing an outdoor pool, the architects made it elongated, with a see-through end piece jutting out of the side of the building so people can view the blue glow of the water from the floors below.
The pool is part of a stellar amenities package. On the Riviera Deck there will be a hot tub, cabanas, steam room, catering kitchen, dining hall, games area and a fire pit. The Sky Garden will boast an outdoor kitchen and space to exercise green thumbs. Residents will also have access to concierge services and a 25,000-square-foot athletic club.
With amenities such as these keeping residents busy, it would take a lot to keep people inside their homes.
Try air conditioning in every suite, plus glazing for windows and doors that are acoustically designed to keep out city noise. Residents also get to customize their homes, choosing between four colour schemes, with light and dark cabinet and floor combinations. There are also two finishing grades for an array of items, such as countertops and appliances, right down to the choice between marble or marble tile.
All this luxury also comes with affordability with suites starting at $309,900 and a total of 150 units priced under $350,000. The suite mix is a range of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, including some with enclosed balconies. Sizes range from 505 to 1,112 square feet.
The One Pacific sales centre is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 88 Pacific Blvd. For more details, visit liveonepacific.com.
