The search is on for two men who crashed a white van that police at first thought could be a mobile meth lab. The vehicle slammed into a wall on Oak St. around West 53rd Avenue Monday afternoon.
Photos of the van in flames appeared on Twitter as emergency crews closed the area over concerns the vehicle was carrying chemicals. It struck another vehicle before hitting the wall in the upscale neighbourhood in south Vancouver, sending two people in a car to hospital.
Initially, Vancouver police reported it appeared the van was a mobile meth lab but later said it was not.
Police using a dog were unable to track the men who fled the scene but where unable to locate them Monday afternoon.
An investigation is ongoing.
