The Vancouver Whitecaps are Cascadia Cup champions again.
With the Portland Timbers beating the Seattle Sounders 1-0 Sunday, Vancouver finished first in the three-team standings with a 2-1-3 record. Its' the fourth time the ‘Caps have won the title since it was first awarded in 2004, one more than both Seattle and Portland.
The Cup is awarded annually to one of the three Pacific Northwest Major League Soccer teams who posts the best head-to-head record in regular-season games. The Whitecaps look to keep their MLS playoff hopes alive this weekend when they visit the Colorado Rapids Saturday.
