Vancouver police seek help in Main Street attack on woman 0

Vancouver police are asking the public’s help after a violent assault left a woman with serious injuries.
Investigators said a 22-year-old from the United Kingdom was walking around Main Street and 3rd Avenue early Sunday around 3.30 a.m. when she was attacked and knocked to the ground.
Police said the attacker repeatedly kicked her in the head and body until she was unconscious. She later regained consciousness and took a taxi south along Main to East 56th Avenue.
The attack left her with a broken jaw with cuts and bruises on her face, hands and legs.
The victim spent one day in hospital where she underwent surgery.
Investigators don’t believe the attack was sexual in nature.
