North Shore Search and Rescue resumed its search for missing British tourist Tom Billings on Tuesday. A ground search will be conducted near the Lynn Headwaters and, if weather permits, a helicopter will be used, according to a post on the group's website.
Aerial footage of the North Shore mountains posted online has helped searchers focus their efforts to find Billings.
Video posted by North Shore Search and Rescue to YouTube yielded what the group called a "credible tip."
"We received a credible tip from two hikers who may have seen Tom on Nov. 25 in Lynn Headwaters," said a post on the group's website. "This tip is a huge help."
Searchers went out on Sunday to check out this area, but have not located Billings yet. North Shore Search and Rescue hopes to go out again when the weather permits it.
Billings was last seen on Nov. 25 and he was believed to be planning a hike on Grouse Mountain, according to North Shore Search and Rescue, which has also posted high-resolution photos to www.flickr.com/northshorerescue.
