Mounties are searching for two men after a Surrey home invasion on Wednesday night where four children and their caretakers were tied up as the residence was robbed.

Cpl. Bert Paquet of the Surrey RCMP said the invasion in the Strawberry Hill area appears to be targeted and the homeowner returned shortly after it began. A struggle then ensued with one of the invaders.

“This was definitely not a random attack,” he said. “We’re speaking with the homeowner to confirm what items were taken. We were originally met with limited co-operation from him but our investigators are speaking with him.”

Paquet said the suspects were looking for specific items in the home and fled on foot.

None of the occupants of the house were injured.
