Two arrested for contraband smokes seizure in Vancouver

The Vancouver seizure of 2,700 cartons of illegal cigarettes hidden in wooden doors shipped from China have led to the arrests of two men in Ontario.
RCMP and the Canada Border Services Agency said a joint investigation was conducted after the doors were examined at the Vancouver Container Exam Facility Feb. 12.
The cigarettes were found hidden within the door paneling.
Chi Suong Tieu, 22, and Jia Da Ye, 21, is charged with breach of probation and tobacco-tax related offences.
Police described illegal tobacco as anything not complying with provincial and federal laws.
