Police are investigating after a man who had been shot stumbled into a Victoria Drive restaurant in Vancouver Saturday.

The Vancouver Police Department said that at around 9:30 p.m. the victim was sitting in his parked car at Victoria and 35th Avenue when an unknown man shot several rounds at the car and then took off.

After restaurant patrons called 9-1-1, police and paramedics responded to the scene. The 33-year-old Burnaby man was then rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery for a bullet wound. He has since been released from the hospital.

Police believe the man was targeted, but no arrests have yet been made into the case. The VPD is still investigating.
