The funeral for former Saginaw Spirit forward Terry Trafford is set for Tuesday in Toronto.
Visitation is also set for Sunday and Monday at Ward Funeral Home.
The OHL team is travelling to Toronto on Sunday for the viewing before returning to Michigan for its season finale Monday against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, Spirit president Craig Goslin told the Saginaw News. The team will travel again Tuesday for the funeral.
The 20-year-old from Toronto was found dead in his truck Tuesday at a Saginaw Township Walmart parking lot, more than a week after he was last seen.
Trafford was sent home by the Spirit for disciplinary measures, although the team did not specify the exact reason.
Local authorities said Trafford, who played with the Spirit for four seasons, died of self-inflicted asphyxiation.
