British Columbia New Democrat leadership hopeful John Horgan has managed to secure support from almost half of the party’s elected MLAs, including some major endorsements.

Critic for advanced education David Eby, former leader Carole James and labour critic Harry Bains were all revealed to be supporting Horgan’s run at the leadership.

Horgan held a rally in New Westminster Sunday afternoon to announce the supporters.

So far his only competition for the job is Port Coquitlam MLA and finance critic Mike Farnworth.
