Maple Ridge peanut butter case will head to Human Rights Tribunal
The mother of a diabetic boy rejected from a preschool because of his emergency pack of peanut butter was given the green light to continue her fight with the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal.
The tribunal rejected Montessori Corner Preschool’s attempt to dismiss Tanja Weiser’s complaint.
The Maple Ridge school said it rejected the boy to “prevent the introduction of hazardous nut allergens.”
Weiser said the school was unwilling to discuss alternatives.
