A British teen who raised millions for a cancer charity by completing a bucket list of experiences says he has coughed up a tumour from his lungs.
Stephen Sutton, 19, told people on his Facebook page he was admitted to hospital on Easter weekend and in a post April 22, said it would be his "final thumbs up."
"It's a shame the end has come so suddenly - there's so many people I haven't got round to properly thank or say good-bye to," he wrote.
But on Sunday, he wrote about a "bizarre but fortunate twist" where he coughed up "an oval red-stained solid object" and immediately felt better.
"The doctors have discussed what's happened and the only plausible conclusion is that I've literally coughed up a tumour (probably along with bits of infection etc) that was blocking my airway," he wrote.
Sutton has raised more than $5 million for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
