In a bid to improve service to young victims of mental, physical and sexual abuse, Surrey Mounties have moved directly into Sophie’s Place, a centre established for child victims.

Six members of the Surrey RCMP are now working out of the centre, having moved from their offices in the local detachment.

“Sophie’s Place has given us the ability to investigate incidents of child abuse in the least intrusive and most supportive way possible,” says Supt. Trent Rolfe, Surrey RCMP Investigative Services Officer.

“As one of the partners in this facility, we are committed to strengthening the bond between the community and the police.”
