A Kentucky man was arrested and charged last week after posting a masked selfie moments before robbing a local market, according to a police report.

Police say Kevin Lawson broke into Copes Market where he allegedly stole cash, guns, knives, cigarettes, chewing tobacco and food.

Surveillance camera footage showed a burglar wearing a blue hoodie with white gloves and a white hooded mask leaving the market with a full duffel bag of stolen items.

Though the suspect left no fingerprints at the scene, police found white gloves in Lawson's neighbour's yard, leading them to the 28-year-old who handed his cellphone over at the request of deputies.

On the phone was "a picture that he had taken of himself wearing the mask prior to the burglary," according to police documents.

Lawson has been charged with burglary and mischief.
