The identity of a 28-year-old woman shot Sunday night at an East Vancouver gas station is reportedly Mia Deakin, whose mother is Jody Claman, one of the original stars of reality show The Real Housewives of Vancouver.

Police attended the scene last night around 7 p.m. in response to 911 calls about shots fired. They discovered a woman and man at a Chevron on East Hastings Street, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, 27, was later released from hospital.

Global News, which is owned by the same company behind the series, reported the female victim in the shooting is Deakin, who was shot in the shoulder and remains in stable condition in hospital.

VPD spokesman Randy Fincham said the suspects, who fled the scene in a silver or grey SUV, remain at large. “We believe it was a targeted shooting, this was not random.”
