The Vancouver Police Department have issued a warning following what they’re referring to as a “sexually motivated incident” at English Bay.

On July 2 a 13-year-old girl was approached on the beach by a man about 40-years-old who began asking her a series of personal questions.

Feeling uncomfortable, the girl ignored the man while he persisted with his questions and told her about his recent trip to Italy.

He then exposed himself to her.

The teenaged girl reported the incident to a lifeguard and police combed the area without finding the suspect.

He is described as Caucasian, about 5-8 feet tall and 190 pounds.
