Residents of the South Fraser municipality have until Aug. 7 to tell what they like and don’t like about the city for a report card that would determine where $45,000 in grant funding goes.

Jeff Hector, president of SurreyCares, said the survey would cover everything from the economy to health.

“There’s 11 areas,” he said. “Jobs, transportation, health and wellbeing, learning and education, housing, getting started, belonging.”

The results are expected to be released in October and will guide the annual funding SurreyCares distributes.

“We’re just at this point now where we see Surrey blooming into a great city, great economic growth and we think it’s time to do this so we have a measuring point.”

He said the information would also be shared with local government to help guide policy direction.

The survey can be found on surreycares.org.
