Bike infrastructure is coming to 13 B.C. communities thanks to $1.18 million in funding to Bike BC, a cost-sharing program run by the province and local governments.

The funding will go to 16 projects, contributing to bike lanes in Penticton, separated paths in Tofino, and bike routes coming to Maple Ridge and the Sunshine Coast.

Since 2001, B.C. has committed over $150 million in cycling infrastructure, creating new bicycle lanes and trails in over 90 communities.
