Bandits ripping off North Shore Search and Rescue have struck again, this time stealing equipment from a cache near Lynn Headwaters.

It is the fourth such robbery of the rescue organization this year and the second time the equipment at the Lynn Headwaters location was stolen.

“These equipment supply caches are strategically placed to assist search and rescue volunteers to help rescue and save hikers,” said North Vancouver RCMP Cpl. Richard De Jong. “Without proper equipment lives are at risk.”

The Nat and Drew show on 103.5 QMFM in Vancouver is trying to raise $30,000 to replace the equipment.
