Wildfire reroutes traffic on Highway 16 0

Highway 16 west of Burns Lake in northern British Columbia has been closed due to a wildfire, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Traffic, with the exception of oversized vehicles, is being detoured through Highway 35.

The fire is located at China Nose, about 18 kilometers west of Burns Lake.

The detour route is about 150 kilometers long.
