Child arsonists too young for charges

No one will be charged after a fire at a Salmon Arm elementary school Sunday because the suspects are all too young. RCMP say children accused of starting the blaze are six, eight and 10 years old.
Fire crews were called to South Broadview Elementary School after the fire alarm went off and arrived to find smoke cascading from a smashed window. Assistant fire chief Mike Bailey says it appears something was tossed inside the classroom.
The fire singed the wall, and filled the school with smoke, but damage was minimal. The kids were still on scene when police and the fire department arrived. No word on what consequences they will face, but fire crews will be visiting the school to talk about fire prevention once students are back at school.
