Montreal patient doesn't have Ebola: hospital 0

Montreal - 

A patient placed on isolation in a Montreal hospital because of the possibility of Ebola has been cleared of the deadly virus.

QMI Agency learned that on Friday the Maisonneuve-Rosemont hospital placed a patient who recently returned from a trip to western Africa in isolation after displaying some of the symptoms associated with the virus.

The hospital released a statement early Saturday evening stating test results showed the patient doesn’t have Ebola.

Some 1,427 people have died among 2,615 known cases of the deadly virus in West Africa since the outbreak was first identified in March, according to new figures released by the WHO on Friday.
