A housing and residential development in the newly minted False Creek Village is promising central, sustainable and “unequalled value,” and it's heading into its pre-sale stage this month, according to Executive Group Development.

The Tower Green project features 177 homes, a major component of the ambitious WEST retail and residential complex on the edge of False Creek.

Looking north, residents will enjoy views of the majestic North Shore mountains. To the south, the trendy Mount Pleasant neighbourhood and Fairview slopes.

“Every day is a new adventure in every direction,” said launch manager Ann Lok. “We've got all the public transit, the Seabus, the Seawall — and downtown is literally half-a-minute away. It's like a point of departure for everything you could imagine you want to do.”

With units priced between $319,000 and $460,000, Executive Group hopes to finish the project by late 2016. Designed by Walter Francl Architects with sustainability and balance in mind, Tower Green is being planned with a LEED Silver-equivalent designation.

The project's website describes its interior layouts, designed by Atmosphere Interiors, as “pure, natural and distinctive.” They include “deluxe extras” such as custom millwork closets, imported Vicostone Quartz Carrara countertops, and Blomberg and Fulgor appliances — carefully planned so that “every square foot is bathed in light” from floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive views in all directions.

At residents' doorsteps are a planned 43,000-square-foot retail plaza, plus existing businesses including a liquor store, bakery, community centre and Olympic Village SkyTrain station within reach. And you don't even have to leave the building to relax or entertain in the shared landscaped rooftop lounge and barbecue area.

That neighbourhood charm was captured by one Facebook commenter during a developer-initiated contest: “I can never get bored of just strolling and walking around Olympic Village,” wrote one visitor. “It has all the beauty of Vancouver in all directions.”
