“Is there anything else you want to show me?” Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor asks Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman midway through the newest trailer for the upcoming superhero film.

Turns out the answer is a resounding "yes."

The latest entry into DC’s Extended Universe lands in theatres June 2, and the new two-minute clip promises us a good old fashioned origin story for one of comicdom’s most beloved characters.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman follows Diana, princess of the Amazons, after she joins an American pilot (Pine) in England to stop a threat against all humankind.

“If no one else will defend the world, then I must,” Gadot says in the clip.

Like 2013’s Man of Steel, Wonder Woman serve as a deeper introduction to the character (whom fans met in last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), and will show the genesis of Diana becoming a warrior princess under the tutelage of Robin Wright’s General Antiope.

In addition to Gadot, Pine and Wright, the film will star Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner and Lucy Davis.

Wonder Woman is the fourth film in the DCEU and will be followed later this year by Justice League.
