We hope you don’t have “Watch every Transformers movie ever” on your bucket list – because that might not actually happen.

Michael Bay has revealed that Transformers films could still be coming out long after you’re gone.

The director – whose fifth instalment The Last Knight – hits theatres in June, recently revealed that there are 14 more stories written in the ongoing saga of battling bots.

In 2015, Paramount Pictures appointed Akiva Goldsman to create a Transformers Cinematic Universe, with spinoffs and prequels set to expand the franchise.

Next year’s Bumblebee will be the first instalment set outside Bay’s Transformers series.

“It’ll go a little younger,” Bay told MTV. “It will deal more with his character and it’s just about him.”

In his interview with MTV, Bay promised that The Last Knight will drop Easter eggs for “different things to come.”

Bay has said that The Last Knight will be his final Transformers outing, and in a featurette for the film he says he’s “going out with a bang.”

Still, he’s intrigued by the Transformers universe saying that he wants to direct one of the spinoffs.

“There’s good stuff. So, I would like to do one of them.”

Transformers: The Last Knight opens June 23.
