Peter Capaldi’s Doctor Who replacement will be announced on Sunday following the coverage of the Wimbledon men’s tennis final.

Capaldi announced he’d be leaving the sci-fi show at the end of the current season earlier this year and speculation surrounding the identity of the 13th Doctor has been rife ever since.

It’s still not clear who will take over, but many fans, former stars and experts believe the new Time Lord will be a lady.

Tilda Swinton, Olivia Colman and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have all been linked to the role, alongside Ben Whishaw and Love Actually star Kris Marshall.

Capaldi will make his exit as the Twelfth Doctor Who in this year’s Christmas episode.
