No Big Brother eviction, the Men Tell All on the Bachelorette and more reality TV highlights this week

All season long, power showmance Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf have been the major targets in the Big Brother house thanks to their unwavering loyalty. Even after facing eviction, Cody managed to make his way back into the house to team up with his other half in the game once again. And this week, thanks to an unprecedented power known as the Halting Hex, which was awarded to Jessica after America voted, the 26-year-old Los Angeles-based VIP concierge was able to save the couple from eviction yet again - meaning no houseguests left the BB19 house on Thursday, despite Head of Household Paul Abrahamian’s best efforts.
A week ahead of the anticipated finale, wrapping up Rachel Lindsay’s journey for love on The Bachelorette, the Texas beauty faced her past during a heated Men Tell All special that brought all her exes under one roof once again. Notorious bachelors like Lee Garrett and DeMario Jackson found closure with the 32-year-old Texas-based attorney after their televised breakups, while she was able to call out the toxic former beaus for their public scandals that landed both bachelors in the headlines for their bad behavior. While DeMario was scolded for his misogynistic conduct after arriving to the bachelor mansion with a secret girlfriend, it was Lee who received the brunt of Rachel’s wrath for racist tweets that garnered viral attention.
The Amazing Race Canada
Canada’s anxious racers travelled from China to Thailand during an energetic episode of The Amazing Race Canada before it was father/son duo, Zed and Shabbir who said goodbye after coming last place during the fifth leg of the race. Although the Vancouver-based pair were the top racers just one week ago, the two sadly fell behind during a puppet show where they didn’t quite read the instructions properly. Then, a failed surfing Detour sealed their fate and they became the fourth team eliminated this season.
America’s Got Talent
Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell invited Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox to the judging panel to help narrow down the talent ahead of the live shows on America’s Got Talent. With the power to allot a golden buzzer to her favourite act of the night, Laverne passed it to nine-year-old Celine Tram from Hong Kong, who delivered a stunning rendition of Michael Bolton’s How Am I Supposed To Live Without You. “I just want to eat you up and take you home. You were so adorable and so cute, and your voice is amazing. I am really blown away. You are so talented,” Laverne said.
The F Word
Jalapeno poppers may be a great option on the appetizer menu but Gordon Ramsay turned the dish into a round of Russian roulette this week, with the help of Brad Garrett. The former Everybody Loves Raymond star faced the celebrity chef at his own game, but ended up swallowing a giant mouthful of fiery hot deep-fried goo, despite landing on his supposed lucky numbers. Gordon, on the other hand, seemed content, landing on the poppers that satisfied his cool, calm and collected taste buds. “Maybe that’s cause you work here,” Brad teased, indicating that the whole thing was rigged.
