So Kesha, it wasn’t Jerry, it was you.

Months after Seinfeld awkwardly refused a hug from the pop princess on the red carpet of the National Night of Laughter and Song event at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the funnyman proved he’s a fan of the hug by poking fun at the incident on Twitter.

On a standup tour Down Under, Seinfeld shared an image of himself embracing his manager with a mural in the background capturing his infamous encounter with the songstress. “Me and my Manager of three decades @georgeshapiro enjoying Melbourne.”

In an interview after he shut down Kesha, Seinfeld explained why he said no.

“When you get to be my age and you’ve done a couple things, you have your own reality,” he told Extra. “In my reality…I don’t hug a total stranger. I have to meet someone, say hello. I gotta start somewhere…”
