Britney Spears didn’t hold back when a drunk fan joined her on stage during a recent gig in Las Vegas.

Video footage from the singer’s Piece of Me show at Planet Hollywood on Wednesday night has now emerged on social media, with the clips showing her single out a man from the audience during her song Freakshow.

After finishing the song, Britney introduced herself to the fan, who seemed a little bewildered, prompting her to question, “Are you okay?”

The 35-year-old then asked the man his name and went to autograph a T-shirt for him, when she realised he had been drinking.

“Oh, my goodness. You smell like you have a lot of alcohol on your breath! Jesus Christ,” Britney exclaimed jokingly before making a funny face, with her off-script remark causing the audience to erupt into laughter.

Britney’s leather-clad dancers then proceeded to lead the fan off the stage, while the star moved onto her next performance, a rendition of her 2005 hit Do Somethin’.

The incident marks the second time Britney’s Piece of Me residency has hit the headlines lately.

Last month she hit back at critics during a Saturday night show, following accusations that she was lip-syncing throughout her performances.

“The press and the media my whole life, because one minute they tear you down, they’re really horrible, and the next minute, you’re on top of the world,” she said. “But, I’ve never really spoke about it, you know? And I’m a Southern girl, I’m from Louisiana. I’m from the South, and I like to keep it real. And I just want to make sure I keep having you mother f**kers something to talk about, OK?”

Britney then proved her singing chops by covering Bonnie Raitt’s Something to Talk About.
