Scotiabank said it's teaming up with Atlanta-based M-Com to provide mobile banking services to its clients beginning in spring next year.
The service will allow customers to access their bank accounts from their mobile phone, regardless of mobile provider. Clients will be able to view balances and transaction history, make transfers and pay bills, the bank said.
"Canadians rely on the convenience of mobile devices to help them manage their busy lifestyles and having the ability to do their banking from their mobile devices will simplify their lives that much more, said Mike Henry, senior vice president, sales and service at Scotiabank.
