The buzz: There's no better way to describe a night when AC/DC rocked a near sold-out B.C. Place crowd of about 60,000 than to use a line from the Aussie rockers themselves. So "Let there be light, sound, drums, and guitar. Let there be rock."

Angus Young: Besides the music, Angus Young's on-stage antics has to be the highlight of the night. The man can certainly entertain, even at 54 years old. Young did it all: the horns, the bob, the duck walk, the 20-minute (slightly exagerrated) guitar solo, and of course, the famous striptease that ends with him mooning the crowd with his AC/DC briefs. Thank you Angus Young.

How old again?: It was fitting to have a long walkway attached to the main stage as Brian Johnson, 61, and Young were obviously overwhelmed with energy and needed somewhere to run around. The best dash of the night went to Johnson who sprinted the length of the walkway to ring the AC/DC bell.

Classic: Sure, the setlist was predictable and didn't surprise anyone, but why change what works? Fans came to hear and see classics such as Thunderstruck and Back in Black, and that's exactly what AC/DC delivered. The best of Acca Dacca will never get old.

Black Ice: It's been nearly a year since Black Ice was released after the album was recorded at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver. So it was fitting for them to throw several songs from that album into the act, including Rock 'N Roll train and Big Jack.

Sound: A concert at the dome could have been a sound-nightmare, but every note was clear and audible. The volume was exactly what anyone would have expected, as the rock 'n roll legends cranked it up to the highest level of deafening. There's loud, and then there's AC/DC loud.

Cannons: On the subject of sound, if the mind-blowing riffs and rock chords weren't loud enough to cause ears to ring for weeks, the cannons during For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) to end the night sure did the trick.

Song of the night: There were plenty of candidates, but AC/DC really got the fans going during TNT, with the "Oi Oi Oi". But then again, the crowd went crazy for every number.

Stage and props: From flames to confetti, AC/DC certainly used the props to electrify their performance even more, not that they needed to. There was the humongous blow-up doll during Whole Lotta Rosie, and the massive bell dangling over the stage during of course, Hells Bells. Throw in a gigantic red-glowing blown-up devil-horns hat above the stage and you have one hellish-looking set.

Canadian shoutout: At least Johnson acknowledged which country he was in when he said, "Knockin' me out with those Canadian thighs" during You Shook Me All Night Long.

Crowd and atmosphere: The glow of the red-horns were symbols of the night as a well-diversed crowd rose their hands and banged their heads in unison all throughout the show to salute arguably the greatest rock band in history. As for the smokey B.C. Place, well, that was expected.

Video: The cartoonish takes to several of the videos shown were pretty entertaining, including the intro graphics that portrayed a train (the Rock 'N Roll Train of course) crashing onto the stage. But the best one to depict AC/DC's humour was during War Machine when the video showed an Angus Young-driven fighter plane dropping women and guitars into a war zone.

Encore: Young had to end in fashion, emerging from underneath the stage to start off Highway to Hell, followed by For Those About To Rock. A great way to end the night.

Grade: A - It was a lesson in rock 'n roll and the Thunder from Down Under took the Vancouver crowd to school. AC/DC, we salute you.
