A local artist has put his passion for people-watching to good use in his latest exhibit.
Digital photos that artist Brian Boulton took of passerbys while out and about around town inspired the ultra-realistic sketches currently showing at Granville Street's Winsor Gallery.
Featuring anonymous figures in the process of either waiting to cross the street, texting, or chatting on the phone, the pieces provide a glimpse of everyday urban life.
Drawn carefully in free hand with pastel pencil and graphite, they also have a lifelike look, capturing strands of hair and jacket folds with painstaking detail.
Boulton's work is on display until Nov. 29.
