Public Enemy members barred

By DAVE DORMER

They rap about 9-11 being a joke but the Canadian Border Services Agency proved to be anything but for two members of Public Enemy trying to enter the country.

Professor Griff and one member of S1W -- the rap group's security -- were refused entry into Canada after landing in Calgary ahead of Saturday's performance at Wild Bill's Saloon in Banff, said a source connected to the show.

Flava Flav was also a no-show, but that was due to ongoing legal issues. The source said he didn't try to enter Canada. Frontman Chuck D and the rest of Public Enemy still put on a lively performance. Rolfe Fuhrmann, a manager at Wild Bill's said: "They rocked the house."
