James Van Der Beek is eager to make a return to Dawson’s Creek, but only if TV bosses can develop a "brilliant" script for the project.
The actor made his name as geeky Dawson Leery in the beloved teen series, which came to an end in 2003.
His co-star Michelle Williams recently voiced her interest in reprising her role as bad girl Jen Lindley for a TV movie and Van Der Beek admits he would be happy to head back on set for a reunion.
He tells Entertainment Weekly, "I mean, if somebody came up with a brilliant idea how to do it, why not?
“I always love that Michelle is like, 'I definitely wanna do it! I'm in!' which is so easy for her to say because her character is dead. I always smile when I see that."
Dawson's Creek also made stars of Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson.
