Filmmaker Tim Burton is planning to take a break and put his career on hold before he begins work on his next movie project.

The director will have a busy schedule for the rest of the year with the forthcoming release of his movies Dark Shadows and Frankenweenie, as well as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which he produced.

And he admits he's already looking forward to a short hiatus, telling Collider.com, "I think I should (take a break)... It's kind of embarrassing that I have three movies (out this year). I'm sick of me already."

Burton admits he'd be tempted to step behind the camera again if he's impressed by the script for the upcoming sequel to his 1988 horror comedy Beetlejuice.

He adds, "(I'd do it) if it was interesting. Although I don't know if I would ever know a good script if it bit me in the face. But I know what I like, so we'll see."
