Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met with Iraqi refugees in Syria on Friday as part of a goodwill mission, says parade.com. The couple spoke with two families who have suffered violence amid the social unrest in Iraq.
"I'm grateful to you for sharing this story," Jolie told a mother who was kidnapped and assaulted. "It helps to make it easier to understand your problems ... you're a very brave and strong woman for putting this behind you for the sake of your children."
Jolie is a Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations' refugee agency.
