Nicolas Cage, who has made millions of dollars over a long career, claims he's broke, reports bostonherald.com.
The National Treasure actor is having a real-estate liquidation sale -- selling properties he owns all over the world.
Cage claims his business manager Samuel Levin has sent him "down a path toward financial ruin" and he's suing him for a minimum of US$20 million.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, Cage claims that Levin was so reckless and incompetent with his money that he has been forced to sell off major assets and investments and is faced with gigantic tax liabilities.
Cage also claims that Levin did not pay taxes on several properties, leaving him with more than US$6 million in IRS liens.
"Levin placed Cage in numerous highly speculative and risky real estate investments, resulting in Cage suffering catastrophic losses," the lawsuit says.
Appearing in almost 60 films, Cage won a best actor Oscar for his portrayal of a man trying to drink himself to death in 1995's Leaving Las Vegas.
