There were some familiar celeb faces in the sea of more than 43,000 racers and runners Sunday at the 2009 ING New York City Marathon, says nytimes.com.

Actors Ed Norton, Anthony Edwards and singer Alanis Morissette each earmarked funds raised from their trek Sunday to go to African-based charities. Norton finished the marathon with a time of 3:48:01. Morissette, 35, clocked in at 4:28:45.
