Gossip websites are going wild with "are they/ aren't they dating" speculation after Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were caught by photographers holding hands on the tarmac at a France airport.
After spending the day in Paris to promote The Twilight Saga's New Moon, which will hit theaters Nov. 20, cast members were boarding a private jet around 10 p.m. Tuesday night for the next stop on their European tour in London.
"(Pattinson and Stewart) were the last ones to leave the terminal to board the plane," one photographer on the scene told People.com.
"Out on the tarmac, he took her hand, like young lovers. They stopped and looked at each other, their plane, the scene. They seemed very calm, in love. They continued holding hands boarding the plane."
The dark photo, which also shows them both smiling, is fueling speculation about whether these two are an item -- a topic both actors have avoided in interviews.
"I probably would've answered it if people hadn't made such a big deal about it," Stewart told Entertainment Weekly when questioned her about the endless rumors of her dating Pattinson last month.
"If people started asking me if I was dating Taylor (Lautner), I'd be like, 'F--- off!' I would answer the exact same way," she added.
Pattinson had said numerous times he's single and can't get a date.
Yesterday their Twilight co-stars came out saying the photo proves nothing. On his Twitter page, Peter Facinelli (who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen) posted a picture of himself holding hands with Kellan Lutz and the headline: "Co-stars caught holding hands. Guess this picture proves everything."
