Show is 'for the fans'

By 24 HOURS NEWS SERVICES

All week, news reports have said Britney Spears has holed herself up in her hotel room in Australia after the media there criticized her and her Circus tour. But now, the 27-year-old, is speaking out.

"Some reporters have said they love it and some don't. I came to Australia for my fans," said Spears in a widely reported statement, wenn.com reports.

Thousands of fans flocked to her personal website and Twitter account to support the star, but got a bit of a surprise when it appeared hackers took over Spears' Twitter account again (she was also hacked in January).

"I give myself to Lucifer every day for it to arrive as quickly as possible. Glory to Satan!" one tweet said, and then a second post said, "I hope that the new world order will arrive as soon as possible! - Britney." The posts were quickly removed.
