Actor-singer Jamie Foxx says he’s taking Toronto rapper Drake under his wing as his fame skyrockets.

The Texas-born Oscar winner tells The Canadian Press he thinks Drake “can really be a superstar” as he breaks into the music business.

Foxx adds he wants to help the 22-year-old, whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham, “every step of the way.”

Drake collaborated with Foxx on the new single, “Digital Girl,” and plans to release his debut album, “Thank Me Later,” by year’s end.

Before getting into music, Drake got his big break acting on CTV’s “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”

Foxx is performing tonight in Toronto to support his new album, “Intuition,” and says he’s asked Drake to join him onstage.

This morning, Foxx appeared at a press conference to help launch the LG Life’s Good FilmFest.

He also told reporters he plans to dress in drag next year to reprise his “In Living Color” character Wanda for a film with Martin Lawrence.
