There'll be plenty of flustered, excited women at the West Coast Women's Show in Abottsford this weekend when Young and the Restless heartthrob Daniel Goddard takes the stage.
Indeed, the Australian actor, who plays the mysterious Cane and who's often found displaying his impressive six-pack on the popular daytime drama, is aware he has quite the effect on the ladies.
"You walk out [at these events] and there's thousands of screaming women there and it's a bit overwhelming," he told 24 hours.
Despite the hubbub he's sure to cause, Goddard is happy to have a chance to meet with fans.
"They're the reason you do the job in the first place," he explained.
Part of Goddard's attraction could very well have to do with the many steamy love scenes he films; the actor frequently nibbles on ears and whispers sweet-nothings in that sexy Australian accent of his on the show.
"'You make my husband a better lover.' I've heard that one before," Goddard admitted, laughing.
And how does his wife feel about all those intimate scenes?
"She's cool with it," he said. "You learn over the time of being married to an actor that it's a job."
His three-year-old son, however, isn't quite as understanding.
"He'll have this look on his face [during a love scene on the show] like, 'That's not Mommy,'" Goddard said.
The West Coast Women's show runs Friday to Sunday at the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre.
Goddard will appear Sunday at 2 p.m. on the main stage to answer questions and sign autographs.
