Rob Zombie's mouth waters this time of year
By SUN MEDIA
Not all zombies crave brains. Rob Zombie, for instance, is partial to a sweeter Halloween treat. "Candy corn is my favourite," admits the White Zombie rocker-turned-horror moviemaker (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, Halloween, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, and the 2010-slated Tyrannosaurus Rex.) "I usually get very excited when I see it on the shelves. They usually start laying out the Halloween stuff, you know, first week of August. So pretty much by the second week of August I never want to see candy corn again. Yeah, that's pretty much where it begins and ends for me. I'm so excited for five minutes. Usually I open the bag in the parking lot ... and by the time I get home I'm disgusted with myself for eating it." Speaking of disgusting, what's the worst thing you can give a kid on Halloween? "A toothbrush. I remember when that was the popular thing to do -- you know, give kids dental floss. I mean, really. You might as well punch them in the face. They'd like that better." |
